Jelani Jenkins

Jelani Jenkins is a mental performance and wellness consultant, speaker, and creator who helps athletes build confidence, resilience, leadership, and a healthier relationship with performance. As a Mental Performance Consultant with Texas Sports Academy, he leads live sessions and workshops that support student-athletes in sports, academics, and life.

Jenkins played five NFL seasons for the Miami Dolphins and Houston Texans after Miami selected him in the fourth round with the 104th overall pick in the 2013 NFL Draft. Across 60 regular-season games, he recorded 238 tackles, 3.5 sacks, three forced fumbles, one fumble recovery, and five passes defended. In 2014, he recorded career highs of 110 tackles, 3.5 sacks, and two forced fumbles for Miami.

Before entering the NFL, Jenkins played linebacker at the University of Florida. He started 31 of 36 games and finished with 182 tackles, 16.5 tackles for loss, six sacks, and three interceptions. Jenkins was selected to the SEC All-Freshman Team and earned SEC Academic Honor Roll recognition.

After his playing career, Jenkins moved into entrepreneurship, athlete consulting, performance and wellness work, and public speaking. In 2021, he founded Postseason, an athlete-development platform focused on identity, leadership, and the transition beyond competitive sports. The venture became an important foundation for his broader work supporting athletes’ personal development and long-term success
