Former NFL defensive end and consensus All-American at Texas A&M
Damontre Moore is a former National Football League defensive end who spent nine seasons on NFL rosters and appeared in 66 games. He was selected by the New York Giants in the third round of the 2013 NFL Draft with the 81st overall pick and spent his first three seasons in New York, recording his first career sack in September 2014 against Washington and posting 5.5 sacks that season.
Moore went on to play for the Miami Dolphins, Seattle Seahawks, Dallas Cowboys, Oakland Raiders and San Francisco 49ers, and was later on rosters with the Indianapolis Colts and Carolina Panthers. He finished his NFL career with 97 total tackles, 12 tackles for loss, 11 sacks and four forced fumbles. In 2019 he played for the San Diego Fleet of the Alliance of American Football, where he recorded 22 tackles and 7 sacks in a single season. He later played in the Canadian Football League with the Toronto Argonauts, Montreal Alouettes and Calgary Stampeders between 2022 and 2024.
Moore played college football at Texas A&M from 2010 to 2012, first at the Aggies' "joker" position and later as a starting defensive end. As a freshman in 2010 he recorded 40 tackles, 5.5 sacks, three forced fumbles and an interception while backing up Butkus Award winner Von Miller, earning first-team Freshman All-America honors from Rivals.com and Sporting News along with Freshman All-Big 12 recognition from ESPN.com. As a junior in 2012 he recorded 85 tackles and 12.5 sacks and was named a consensus first-team All-American, a first-team Walter Camp All-American and a first-team All-SEC selection. His 26.5 career sacks rank sixth in Texas A&M history. Moore is a native of Rowlett, Texas.
